How to Meditate ~ For Beginners
Most people think meditation means emptying the mind. It doesn't. Meditation is the practice of training your attention, either by bringing focus to one specific thing, or by releasing focus altogether and simply observing what arises. The thoughts will still come, and that is not failure - it is the practice itself!
The benefits of a consistent meditation practice are well documented and deeply felt. A clearer, quieter mind. Sharper focus. A growing awareness of the body and its signals. And perhaps most valuably, space, between a thought or feeling and your response to it.
In this video, Anna walks you through what meditation actually is, how to begin, and the different forms it can take. Because there is no single right way. There is only the way that works for you.
Types of meditation explored include mantra, mudra, breath-based, body-based, movement and stillness practices.
Benefits:
Trains focus and sustained attention
Creates space between thoughts, feelings and reactions

You don't need a quiet mind to meditate. You just need a willingness to begin.
